The Columbia Sacred Harp group has cancelled this year's annual October sing. It is not a time to travel, gather and sing together safely.
Please care for yourself and others until we can meet again.

The Columbia Shape-Note Singers host an annual all-day sing on the Saturday before the second Sunday in October each year. Join us in 2019 for the 25th annual event.

We are happy to provide babysitters on site if children are coming. We would appreciate 3 weeks’ notice if possible. Some local housing is available. Please contact Penny and Lou Kujawinski at the number below.
We invite music lovers to experience shape note singing, a 200-year-old American tradition of a capella music. Our hymnbooks are The Sacred Harp (Denson, 1991) and The Missouri Harmony (revised and reprinted, 2005). No experience necessary – you may sing or simply listen. Loaner books are available.
Free and open to all.

A traditional carry-in feast, open to all singers and visitors. Bring a dish to share or simply enjoy the good food and fellowship as we pause to refuel for afternoon singing.

From Highway I-70
Take exit 128A (US Highway 63), go north and merge onto US 63 North. Follow directions below to the church.
Going north on US Highway 63
Travel about 10 miles north of Columbia, past Hinton and a flashing yellow light, and about ½-mile past Peabody Road to Dripping Springs Road, where you will see a Sinclair gas station on the west side of US 63. Go left (west) on Dripping Springs Road 2.5 miles to the church.
Going south on US Highway 63
Travel 24 miles south of Moberly, approximately 2 miles south of Rt. 124, to Dripping Springs Road and turn right. Go west 2.5 miles to the church.
